SHORT FILM GENRES
A brief movie is just what it says it is. It's a long but brief movie. Whether you want to split short films by genre or by length, there are a variety of categories they could fit into.
Live-action
A scripted short film that uses live actors is known as a live-action short. It sounds easy enough. The term "written" is a bit vague because the short films have been primarily improvised. Yet, this category is for original and adapted works that provide a made-up story in which actors take on the roles of people other than themselves.

Documentary
The definition of a documentary short is also accurate: it is a documentary film that is only a few minutes long. You must be wondering, "Well, how short is short?" and we'll talk more about that later.
Many documentarians continue to work in the short form because not all docs require the length of a complete feature, unlike other short films, which typically seem to be "stepping stones" for filmmakers before moving on to other projects.

Animated
For the duration of its production, animated shorts use animation, whether it is classic 2D, stop-motion, computer 3D, or another method. Simply put, it must be animated. It must also be brief.
Because they can sometimes be simpler for a single artist to produce than live-action movies, animated shorts are especially popular in the animation community and can act as calling cards for animators.

Horror
Horror frequently manipulates the audience by focusing on the shadowy, frightening side of life. If the tale itself is on the wrong track, the audience is treated to good results, which always come out well in this genre. The horror genre is known for keeping its audience engaged until the very end. I'm Alive?, Farmhouse, and other similar movies are examples of short horror films.

Epic / Historical

When one wants to depict historical or recent events in a short film, this genre is used. In order to emphasise the time period or era in which the characters are living, epics are typically more theatrical and include elaborate settings and costumes. It occasionally has tales as well, which makes it more participatory. Such traits are hardly present.
Drama
The most popular and well-known genre overall is this one. Everyone enjoys watching drama. The humour of the characters is crucial to the drama genre. Also, it significantly relies on this form of development, and the plot also heavily incorporates dramatic elements.
