MY GENRE
Definition
The setting, cast, plot, tone, and theme of a given film can all be used to categorise a film into one of several artistic groups known as a "genre." Based on where the bulk of the content falls, a movie's primary genre category will be determined. A sub-genre is a more specific classification that falls under one particular genre. The two different genres are frequently mixed together like this. Over time, genres and subgenres evolve and influence one another.
Narrative Structure and Genre
Thrillers are genres of fiction that masterfully combine suspense, tension, and mystery into one thrilling tale. Effective thrillers go along at a steady pace, frequently introducing red herrings, exposing narrative twists, and providing information just when it's needed to keep the viewer interested. A "ticking clock" element, where the stakes are against a limited amount of time, is a common feature of thrillers. The thriller genre includes a variety of movies, including crime dramas, political thrillers, and technological dramas. Psychological thrillers include The Silence of the Lambs (1991) and The Shining (1980).
